The ready-built factories of the New Generation Corporation are strategically located near the international port system, including: Cat Lai (District 2, HCMC); Go Dau (Dong Nai); Phu My and Cai Mep ports (Ba Ria - Vung Tau). With the surrounding international seaport system, investors will save time and transportation costs when doing import and export of goods.




1, Cat Lai port


Cat Lai Terminal is a dedicated container terminal, which had been planned and built at Cat Lai Ward, District 2, HCM City. It is the biggest container terminal in Vietnam with the total area of 60 ha, 20.000 m2 warehouses, 450.000 m2 CYs, 973 m berth length equipped with 12 quayside cranes including 10 German-made Kranbaun Eberswalder Gantry Cranes.

Customs procedures for goods passing via the Free Port Zone

• The Free Port Zone is constructed on the surface of 8,536m2 in Cat Lai Phase 1, isolated from the surrounding areas by the three-meter-high fence.

• It has the exhibition area of 80 m2, warehouses of 1,480 m2, and container yard area of 6,959 m2.

• It is furnished with modern equipment and management technology so that it can be able to serve shipping lines and customers around the clock.

All types of goods shall be permitted to pass via the Free Port Zone, except for narcotics, radioactive substances, arms and ammunition, and other forbidden goods under the provisions of the international treaties to which Vietnam is a signatory.

• Handling/ stevedoring services and maritime aid services.

• Goods trading, packing, repacking, arranging, rearranging; strengthening, repairing or replacing containers in the case of transshipment containers, exports and imports, and goods in transit.

• It is not required to carry out the import procedures for goods transferred to the Free Port Zone from abroad, but the goods owner or representative must provide the Customs agency with a manifest.

• Exports and imports passing via the Free Port Zone must comply with all customs procedures as stipulated.

• The customs procedures for goods packed in transshipment containers shall be in compliance with the provisions of law on the container transshipment service at Vietnamese seaports.

• Goods in transit via the Free Port Zone must comply with the customs procedures in accordance with the provisions of law.



2. Go Dau port 

Go Dau port with a minimum capacity of 30,000 DWT, including: a main quay (250 meters long, 22 meters wide), access bridge (32 meters long, 12 meters wide), a railroad track and nearly 10 hectares warehouse system.

The port is 20km far from Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park toward national road no.51 and used to transfer cargos of Go Dau Industrial Park and neighboring industrial zones such as Cat Lai Industrial Park, My Xuan Industrial Park, Nhon Trach Industrial Park, reducing the cost of transporting goods for manufacturing enterprises in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Lam Dong, Vung Tau.


3. Phu My port


PTSC Phu My port is located in the seaport cluster No. 5 planned by the Government, currently the port can receive international ships of more than 80,000 DWT. The port is connected to the inland waterways and road systems in the southern key economic region - 30km far from Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park toward Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. With wharf system and inland berth, the port can receive many international and domestic ships.

The main wharf system receives international ships with a tonnage of over 80,000 DWT with depth alongside berth -14.5m below 0 chart datum. Vessels with large tonnage can dock in this area such as Panamax ships carrying agricultural goods or specialized ships carrying super-heavy cargo and other goods for import and export.

Domestic wharf system with a tonnage of 2,500-4,000 DWT is convenient for loading, unloading, and delivering goods like fertilizers and agricultural products from mother ships and the warehouses to the Mekong River Delta and Northern provinces.

The synchronized dockside warehouse system can hold many different types of goods in large quantities such as iron and steel goods or dry goods, bulk cargo, bagged goods with a capacity of up to 100,000 tons, including specialized warehouses for agricultural products.



4. Tan Cang - Cai Mep international terminal:  


It is a deep-water port located near the confluence of Cai Mep - Thi Vai River, 18 nautical miles from Vung Tau Pilot Station, taking 2-hour to reach the wharf.

Tan Cang international terminal is designed to include two (02) Container terminals with a total length of 590m, which can receive 160,000 DWT container ships with a capacity oover 1.7 million TEUs / year. The port is about 40km from the factory of Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park toward Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway.
